Moscow, June 19, 2017 – JSC RASU, a subsidiary of ROSATOM State Corporation, and Doosan signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the IX International Forum "ATOMEXPO 2017".

Andrey Butko, Chief Executive Officer of JSC RASU, and Kiang Na, Head of Nuclear Business Group of Doosan took part in the signing ceremony.

The Parties are planning to develop their cooperation in the area of automated radiation monitoring systems (ARMS) and neutron flux detectors for NPPs of the Korean design in the Republic of Korea and other countries. JSC RASU develops such systems as an integrator of I&C and electrical engineering businesses.

"The Memorandum opens up new opportunities for cooperation between our companies in the nuclear energy market, and in the area of I&C and electrical engineering for power generation and other industrial applications. This is the first step towards the long-term partnership focused on development of innovative, safe and intelligent systems for customers worldwide", Andrey Butko, the Chief Executive Officer of JSC RASU noted.

Doosan Heavy Industries within the consortium of Samsung C&T and Hanhwa Construction has won the contract for construction of Shin Kori NPP Units 5 and 6. Unit 5 is going to be put into commercial operation in March 2021, Unit 6 – in March 2022.
