The MOU sets out the provision of consulting and engineering support for the design and commissioning of automated process control systems for nuclear power plants
On December 3, within the framework of the International Forum "Electric Networks" (IFES), held in Moscow, RASU JSC, part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom,  concluded a memorandum of understanding with  French engineering company Assystem, in the field of consulting services for the design and implementation of industrial control systems.
On the part of RASU JSC, the document was signed by General Director Andrei Butko, on the part of Assystem, by Vice President of the Strategic Business Group for Atomic Energy Christian Jeanneau.

The memorandum sets out the parties’ intentions to study such areas of potential business cooperation as the management of Automated Control Systems projects in a complex configuration environment, the creation of technical documentation at all stages of the project, as well as the provision of consulting and engineering support for the design and commissioning of automated process control systems for nuclear power plants, including parts of supply chain management, interfaces, verification, validation, licensing support.

“We are pleased to start our mutually beneficial cooperation. The signed memorandum will make it possible to use Assystem’s rich experience and competencies in the field of safety, protection, digitalization and system design of complex engineering projects to increase the speed and quality of Rosatom’s nuclear power plant construction projects, primarily abroad, ”said Butko.
Christian Jeanneau said: “Assystem fully believes that decarbonized electricity and safety will be the drivers for sustainable energy solutions for the future, it is our great pleasure to address it together with Rosatom by cooperating on its international new build programs. Working together with RASU on a wide range of project management topics that include verification and validation as well as configuration management and licensing will ensure not only safe and successful project delivery but a timely deployment of RASU solutions to the international market.”
