St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 1 June 2017 hosted the signing of the Agreement between Rosatom and the World Energy Council.

The document was signed by Rosatom’s First Deputy Director General for Corporate Development and International Business, Kirill Komarov and the World Energy Council Secretary General, Christoph Frei.

In the framework of Patronage program Parties are planning to participate in different joint research works devoted to energy issues and to organize various professional activities and events on the international and regional levels. As part of the Agreement Rosatom will also be joining a number of the Council’s national member committees in countries of key interest for Rosatom.

“I hope that this cooperation between our two organizations, signified by the signing of this Agreement, will allow us to draw the attention of the members of the World Energy Council to the value of nuclear energy, which we regard as one of the key components of the global "green" energy of the future”, – said Kirill Komarov.

«We are delighted to see Rosatom joins as a Patron of the World Energy Council. Energy is in a grand transition and cooperation with new partners will help all of us to deepen our all understanding of the implications and new opportunities arising from the new energy realities”, - added Christoph Frei.
