An international business event took place for young leaders in the field of clean energy, new technologies, and sustainable development on 20-22 November 2022, with the support of Rosatom State Corporation and the BRICS YEA on the sidelines of the XII ATOMEXPO-2022 International Forum in Sochi (Russia).
During the Forum, young experts from 15 countries (Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Vietnam, Ghana, India, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Kenya, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, and Uzbekistan) developed proposals for the development of the BRICS YEA agenda.
One of the initiatives of the Forum’s participants was to strengthen the network of local community partners in areas where energy plays a decisive role. Global Partners Network is a new BRICS YEA platform that will unite young professionals and business partners from different sectors of the economy to solve the challenges of the energy transition.
“Energy is broader than power units for our global youth community; it includes new materials, critical minerals, international logistics and much more. We, therefore, welcome the proposal to launch a new Global Partners Network platform, which will strengthen partnerships around community youth initiatives, including others in the association’s member countries,” said BRICS YEA Chairman Alexander Kormishin.
The first results of the platform’s work are expected to be presented in the framework of the 5th BRICS Youth Energy Summit, which will take place under the chairmanship of the Republic of South Africa in 2023.

The BRICS Youth Energy Agency is an international youth organisation and a global flagship in the field of development of youth energy cooperation in global trends and challenges. BRICS YEA was established in 2015 following the results of the 1st BRICS Youth Summit in Kazan. The ATOMEXPO International Forum is the largest business and exhibition platform where the industry’s leading companies and experts can discuss challenges to developing nuclear technologies, as well as strengthen partnerships and exchange the best practices. In 2022, more than 2,500 participants from 65 countries took part in the Forum.
