December 16, 2019 – Rusatom Automated Control Systems JSC (RASU JSC, a company of Rosatom State Corporation) opened its representative office in Helsinki.

The new office will help RASU JSC in everyday communications with the stakeholders of Hanhikivi-1 NPP construction project, and contribute to an optimal technical management of I&C design and supply.

Earlier this year, the French-German consortium Framatome SAS –Siemens AG was awarded the role of the Main I&C supplier for Hanhikivi-1 NPP. In October, it signed the corresponding contract with JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, the main contractor for Hanhikivi-1 NPP construction and equipment supply, on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week 2019 international forum. RASU JSC will ensure technical management and integration of works at all stages of the project.

For prompt communication and coordination of works with other stakeholders in I&C activities, RASU JSC shares the same building with the office of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 in Helsinki. The offices of the project Owner, Fennovoima Oy, and the General Contractor, RAOS Project Oy (subsidiary of JSC Rusatom Energy International), are in the neighboring buildings.
“Our own representative office in Finland will help us speed up the resolution of many issues, for instance, the ones related to licensing documentation, and encourage a more efficient communication with the project technical consultant, Fortum Heat Oy and other Finnish specialists”, said Yuri Dolgov, Director of RASU office in Helsinki.
