On 20 June, Rusatom Service JSC and Škoda JS signed a contract on equipment delivery for the Armenian NPP. Under the contract, Škoda JS is to supply equipment for the control and protection system to be replaced to extend the lifetime of the Armenian NPP by the scheduled preventive maintenance 2018.

Rusatom Service JSC Director General Evgeny Salkov emphasized the importance of the contract for the company that is an extension of the fruitful cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic in nuclear energy.

“We welcome the continuation of the mutually beneficial cooperation between our companies that started last year when we signed an agreement on cooperation in completing the construction of Mochovce NPP units 3 and 4. We are sure to further go on with our fruitful cooperation,“ stated Škoda JS Chairman and CEO Josef Perlik.
