On June 21st, 2017 the UK-Russian Nuclear Waste and Decommissioning Rountable was held at the British Ambassador Residence in Moscow. The event was organized by the UK Embassy in Russia and supported by the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce and the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. The State Atomic Corporation "Rosatom" and its daughter company TENEX were the organisers from the Russian side.
The Round Table attracted the key players in the back-end market from both countries including AECOM, Sheffield Technologies, Oxford Technologies, Pactec, TENEX, NIKIMT-Atomstroy, FSUE "Radon", FSUE "RosRAO", Rosenergoatom, VNIIAES, etc. The experts exchanged views on various aspects and challenges of nuclear legacy and decommissioning projects, treatment of radioactive waste and spent fuel. The same topic was one of the main ones and was actively discussed at the IX International Forum Atomexpo which took place in Moscow at the same time.
